Google Chrome

Google Chrome is a web browser developed by Google which is available since September 2nd, 2008. Central concept is the partitioning of the browser window into Tabs. Google Chrome is based on the rendering engine WebKit which derives from the KDE project Konqueror. It’s also used in Apple’s browser Safari.

With Google Chrome OS a Linux distribution of its own is planned for the second half of 2010. It will be made available as Open source software, parallel to the android platform.
